The importance of planning to ensure that you make the most of your weekends.

Forget about all the bad things that happened to you this week and just enjoy a great weekend.

It’s true that weekends seem to go far more quickly than what we expected, for most of people weekend ends before they realize it.

The reason why we feel like weekends are short is because we tend to waste most of the time being a couch potato or doing any unnecessary tasks.

Weekend contains more than 60 hours, which is from the 6 pm of Friday to 8 am on Monday morning.

Weekends are never going to look short if we plan it properly. Some tips to plan your weekend.  

Planning is important

Do you know if you decide to sleep 24 hours on weekends, and then you will still be left with more than 35 hours to spend your time, enjoying with your loved ones and making those hours count.

Problem is we waste time watching some stupid tv serials or spend our time without restoring our exhausted brain and ultimately lead to complaining about the short weekend.

 No strict timing

What is the meaning of weekend if you plan it strictly when it comes to planning a weekend some people divide the whole day in 30-minute session and allocate those sessions to different activity but they don’t realize that it’s a weekend and you need to concentration on the mind and body relaxation.

Generally, you should plan 3 things in a day to enjoy the weekend and give things some time, you can spend 2-3 hours in shopping for home essentials, 4 hours for any mind and body relaxation (get some body-massage or meditation classes) and 4-5 hours outing time with friends and family. If you are a gym freak and like to exercise on regular basis then you can have planned an outdoor workout trip (like hiking, swimming, mountain climbing, cycling, etc.)

Go outdoor

Don’t be a couch potato, spending some outdoor time is the best way to spend your weekend. On weekdays, you have been sitting in your office for the whole day and depriving your body of sun exposure and fresh air.

Going outdoor is the best way to revitalize your body and make your weekend more enjoyable and relaxing.

People who spend their majority of time watching Netflix tends to feel unsatisfied and exhausted even after the end of weekends.

Backup plan

We have a tendency to get distracted with the scheduled work and actually wasting our time in those activities that don’t really relax us. Always have a backup plan for your weekend if you find yourself unable to accomplish your main weekend plan.                                                                        

Restorative time

It’s good that you have scheduled every pending task for the weekend but in order to make your weekend plan efficient, you need to plan something restorative. The weekend is meant to have a positive effect on your brain, utilize your weekend efficiently.
